The QMS Coordinator is responsible to support management in coordinating activities to maintain company QMS/ISO standards and improve the company’s quality system. Audits procedures for management by assessing effectiveness of controls and accuracy of records and work in process for work activities. Proactively identify issues, take appropriate action and elevate if required to resolve. Champion the company-wide quality and continuous improvement programs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as administrator/management representative for the QMS
  • Ensure the site meets the requirements of company standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001)
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review all QMS documentation and data
  • Monitor QMS effectiveness through timely reporting of internal external quality metrics/objectives
  • Coordinate/ ensure that all employees are trained on the Quality Management System
  • Coordinate/Implement corporate quality initiatives
  • Lead cross-functional data-based continuous improvement project teams
  • Support/lead management review process for QMS
  • Collect, review and report data on non-conformances
  • Transition QMS to company’s integrated management system
  • Maintain QMS document/record control process
  • Maintain and update the Quality Manual and other documents specifically required by (ISO standards)
  • Monitor and control all QMS documentation released in hard copy
  • Monitor, control and audit all electronically stored QMS data and documentation
  • Maintain QMS internal audit process
  • Serve as the lead internal auditor for QMS/ISO standards
  • Conduct systems and compliance audits, inspections, prepare audit reports and implement system improvements
  • Coordinate audits conducted by external and internal auditors
  • Maintain corrective/preventive action process.
  • Monitor resolution of corrective actions from audits and nonconformities and report status
  • Complete verification action to ensure effectiveness for all corrective/preventive actions
  • Recommend and develop implementation plan for new Quality systems and upgrades
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, business administration, engineering or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years in a quality management systems audits or experience in managing and maintaining QMS in a manufacturing environment
  • 8+ years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards
  • Must be detail oriented with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive changes and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and tools
  • ASQ/Lead Auditor certification or Six Sigma preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is a guideline and compensation will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skill level, experience, education and training, and work location.

  • California: $95,000 – $130,000
