The Production Control Specialist is responsible for issuing and processing purchase orders based on forecasts from customers, scheduling and coordinating work orders to expedite production for the Healthcare division.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Issue and track purchase orders, and review lead time to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Print orders and corresponding labels to production and packing slips for shipping
  • Process invoices; send electronic invoices and acknowledgements to customers
  • Review master production schedule and work orders
  • Establish priorities for specific customer orders and revise schedule according to work order specifications
  • Distribute work orders to departments, denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced
  • Maintain inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production; maintain prices and part numbers in the ERP system
  • Create and maintain excel spreadsheets with formulas and production data
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Assist Production Control Manager with various reports and tasks from time to time
  • Participate in continuous development of Production Control integration processes through company’s application system
  • Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of production control or inventory control and purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Good written skill and verbal skills. Must have strong customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
