The Process Technician is responsible for set up, test, and adjust manufacturing machinery or equipment in a cleanroom environment by using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computer technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current manufacturing practices and safety standard operating procedures
- Evaluate, implement and monitor the process and operating systems of the injection molding press
- Monitor, adjust and issue current or new production processes to improve efficiency or equipment for quality and productivity
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
- Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality
- Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements
- Start up and shut down processing equipment through safe operation of all machinery, tools, equipment
- Provide advice or training to other technicians
- Measure and record data associated with operating equipment
- Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures
- Clean production equipment or work areas, maintain 5S
- Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
- Perform tool changes by following safety and production procedures and meeting set up goal per area
- Start up the jobs; follow established process and procedures
- Perform color changes, including cleaning of the hoppers and to restart the machine
- Calibrate hopper/mixer for concentrate-material
- Monitor and adjust production processes to improve efficiency or equipment for quality and productivity, issue a new process
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
- Set up and test secondary equipment for functionality and quality
- Perform quality audits in your area by reviewing quality of parts
- Create work orders for repair for tool room or Maintenance
- Maintain area clean and organize. All tools, Knock outs, Nozzle tips, clamps, hoses, cables, washers / screws are in the right location
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineer and Tool Room teams to fix issues while trouble shooting
- Create and establish process parameters for new tools
- Provide updates and status reports to Management of molding projects
- Support business partners/ departments with new product launches
- Operate forklift to assist Production as needed
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering plus 3+ year in Injection molding production environment
- Solid understanding of functions of variety of production equipment including but not limited to robot, injection molding machines, water heaters, hot runners, cranes, gas unit, valve gate, etc.
- Forklift certification preferred
- Proficient in Outlook and internet search engines
- Ability to work overtime on weekdays or weekends.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is a guideline and compensation will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skill level, experience, education and training, and work location.
- California: $23.00 per hour – $25.00 per hour
