Machine Technician (BFS) – 2nd Shift
Production / Lawrence, Kansas
Plastikon Healthcare is looking a Machine Technician (Blow Fill Seal). This position is a manufacturing employee with specific skills in BFS operation and maintenance. The BFS Technician is responsible for end of shift reporting through the ERP System for work completed. This positions provides a variety of support to Shipping and Receiving and Facility Maintenance of non-production equipment. In addition, the BFS Technician supports the manufacturing department on special projects and nonconformance investigations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fill/Pack, BFS Technician, and Clean/Sanitization of Production: Provides oversight to production staff on the assigned line and assumes accountability for the work performed. Actively completes batch record paperwork and documents for compliance to requirements. Trained in ERP software to provide shift reporting. Operates BFS equipment to ensure efficient operations and high-quality product. Maintains the sterility and sanitization of the sterile processes through CIP, SIP, and cleaning practices.

Facility Maintenance: Performs all maintenance on the BFS and packaging equipment. Works as a back-up to Facility Maintenance for system maintenance for non-production equipment, as directed and trained.

Shipping/Warehouse & Receiving: Trained/certified on fork truck operation to move finish goods from production to warehouse and to restock components to the production floor. Receives supplies and transfers finished goods to shipping containers/trucks as a backup for shipping/receiving.

CIMP System: Provides support for continuous improvement and Kaizen events and projects. Supports new process development and changes to process by assisting on validation projects.

NCR System: Supports the nonconformance system through reporting of Nonconformances and supporting Quality in investigation activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, with 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing and blow molding required, associate degree or Technical School training preferred
- Experience with systems and equipment related to manufacturing including production systems, Quality Systems, and ERP systems.
