The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing operations in the warehouse- including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading of trucks, ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers, and maintaining accurate inventory and inventory controls and responsible of ensuring product shipped to customer’s satisfaction based on KPI metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day to day activities of Shipping/Receiving Team
  • Ensure customer requirements are met and solid relationships are maintained
  • Oversee and account for internal inventory, act as lead person for physical inventory on a monthly basis
  • Manage & track outside customer orders to include delivery schedules and freight, and past due shipments
  • Target 100% on time delivery
  • Communicate, report and update customers on deliveries; issues, expedite shipments as needed
  • Lead contact for packaging requests and requirements for both internal and external requirements for both internal and external customers
  • Monitor logistics performance and implement necessary improvement actions in coordination with other plant functions
  • Lead the logistics team and improve target objectives
  • Ensure adequate staffing, training and development of staff
  • Manage the movement of products into and out of warehouse/production facilities
  • Ensure warehouse space is utilized effectively and maintained cleaned through 5S standards and in conformance to policies and procedures and GMP’s
  • Develop standardized work procedures and examine work for accuracy neatness and conformance to policies and procedures and GMP’s
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of both product and paperwork from support staff.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of inventory and cycle count
  • Oversee the auditing process for all paperwork prior to submission to Production Control
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to senior management for continual process improvement to enhance overall operations
  • Communicate with all internal departments and key customers and suppliers to coordinate logistics activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays
  • Negotiate carrier contracts and seek opportunities to consolidate freight and optimize truckload utilization
  • Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, following accident reporting guidelines and conveying issues to management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 7+ years of warehouse management experiencing in transferring materials between multiple facilities and managing 500+SKUs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Must have experience in supporting production in a manufacturing environment
  • A strong background in production scheduling, logistics including domestic and international shipping and receiving, delivery and inventory
  • Must have experience in using Kanban, EDI and Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN)
  • Familiar with OSHA safety rules in Warehouse
  • Knowledge of ERP system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is a guideline and compensation will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skill level, experience, education and training, and work location.

  • California: $97,000 – $110,000
