The Logistics Manager manages all warehouse and logistics operations to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures shipping and inventory measuring processes are running smoothly and effectively
  • Generates daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Completes all necessary shift documentation and electronic reporting in ERP system, excel workbooks, and smartsheets if applicable
  • Schedules inbound and outbound logistics of internal trucking company and contracted freight services
  • Uses software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
  • Manages all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
  • Directs the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
  • Supervises and leads receiving clerks, order pickers etc.
  • Sets daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives for staff
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of inventory and cycle count
  • Controls budget of the shipping department
  • Collaborates with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
  • Creates new shipping and receiving procedures if needed
  • Ensures compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Reports to management on activities and issues

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA in supply chain, logistics or relative field is a plus
  • 3+ years of warehouse/logistics management and supervisory experience
  • A strong background in warehouse operations and logistics including domestic and international shipping & receiving, delivery and inventory
  • Strong inventory control skills, experiencing setting up “pull system” a plus
  • Experience in using EDI and/or ERP systems, IQMS a plus
  • Must be familiar with bar coding
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to drive forklift and operate other material management equipment
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office, especially Excel
  • CDL a plus
